Questions and Concerns about their proposed Technology Credit force the USPS to defend their position:

 

Just a few weeks ago, the USPS proposed a one-time Technology Credit of up to $5,000 for large mailers who use Full-Service Intelligent Mail Barcodes.  While the postal service described the plan as helping mailers offset costs associated with the hardware and software necessary to support Full-Service mailings, others predicted permanent price increases.  As a result of questions and concerns raised by the Chairman of the Postal Regulatory Commission, the USPS this week modified their earlier statements, and announced their intent to provide additional information to the PRC.
